Create. Inspire. Elevate.

Kate Hodgson and Justin McDonald launched Elevator Productions in Liverpool in 2017, uniting world-renowned talent with new voices, producing independent film and television with commercial appeal.

Their first short film 'A Modern Magician' featuring actor Brian Cox won several international awards and was selected in competition at many film festivals including Manchester International film festival (BIFA qualifying), Liverpool International film festival, Soho film festival New York, Dam Short film festival and Sci-Fi London.

Hitting the festival circuit next is short film 'Fist' written by the award winning Lee Mattinson and is being supported by the BFI Network. It is directed by Andrew McVicar whose work has screened at Venice and won Best British Short at the London Short Film Festival as well as Exec Produced by Jack Tarling who is a BAFTA-nominated, BIFA-winning producer  for feature film 'Gods Own Country'.

Elevator's next short film 'Nettle Day' in association with the BFI was filmed during summer 2022 and stars Kate Dickie. It is written and directed by Jack Nicholls.

Alumni of Creative UK's Creative Enterprise scheme, Elevator Productions are working towards their first feature film with a slate of scripted projects that are in development for film and television.
